About the position
The Document Clerk at Baja Freight Forwarders is responsible for generating and managing warehouse entries, load orders, shipping manifests, and bills of lading. This role requires effective communication with customers and drivers, ensuring accurate documentation and providing excellent customer service. The position is integral to the smooth operation of the warehouse and requires a detail-oriented individual who can work under deadlines.
Responsibilities
Input correct information into the system to generate merchandise entries.
Assist customers in generating load orders when needed.
Support the warehouse Supervisor or Coordinator in creating shipping manifests.
Generate bills of lading for chemical shipments.
Help drivers check in to ensure appropriate customer service.
Review carrier documentation to ensure paperwork is correctly consigned.
Ensure no collect shipments are received without authorization.
Answer business phone calls in a pleasant and professional manner.
Maintain clear communications with customers using appropriate language.
Requirements
Customer service experience
Data entry experience
Warehouse experience
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Typing speed of 40+ wpm
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English

Ability to work accurately and quickly under operational deadlines
