PAY RANGE: $73,000 – $77,000 (Bonus eligible)
REPORTING TO: Project Manager
RESPONSIBLE TO: Logistics Assistants, Logistics Specialists
JOB TYPE: Full-Time

A logistics coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within a company’s supply chain. Their responsibilities typically include coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations, overseeing transportation, managing inventory, and optimizing processes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Coordinate Transportation: Arrange and monitor transportation of goods, including scheduling pickups and deliveries, selecting carriers, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and carriers to optimize routes and minimize costs.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory. Monitor inventory movements, conduct regular audits, and coordinate with procurement teams to replenish stock as needed.
Order Processing: Process customer orders promptly and accurately. Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped in a timely manner. Communicate order status to customers and internal stakeholders.
Documentation and Compliance: Prepare and maintain shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and export/import paperwork. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards.
Communication and Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal departments, suppliers, and transportation partners to ensure effective communication and coordination. Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the transportation or delivery process.
Problem Solving: Identify and address logistics issues proactively. Troubleshoot transportation delays, inventory shortages, and other supply chain disruptions to minimize impact on operations and customer satisfaction.
Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics operations, such as on-time delivery rates, transportation costs, and inventory turnover. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline logistics operations. Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
Requirements:REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
Previous experience in construction, plumbing, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
Previous experience in logistics coordination, transportation management, or supply chain operations.
Proficiency in logistics software
