Reporting to the Manager for Field Operations, the Employer Engagement Program (EEP) Coordinator leads the implementation of the EEP program. The EEP Coordinator will provide outreach, education, and coordination to strengthen employer engagement in the integration and self-sufficiency of refugees and other eligible populations within the community. The EEP Coordinator will supervise the Employer Engagement Specialist and the Career Development Specialist.

DUTIES

Coordinate the implementation of the EEP program in Baltimore and surrounding areas in accordance with program guidelines and Global Refuge standards.
Develop and support the implementation of an EEP outreach plan, engage in public speaking to highlight the contribution of refugees, and support the recruitment of employer partners.
Provide staff training and supervision.
Work with national level staff to adopt and create program materials including handbooks, tools, and program evaluation materials.
Adopt standard operating procedures to ensure quality program implementation and support to EEP participants.
Collaborate with employers to identify needs and develop a workplace-based training plan and curriculum including English language and job skills training.
Provide oversight of client-centered, trauma-informed, culturally-and-linguistically-appropriate EEP services to enrolled refugee participants.
Work with program staff to help refugees attain self-sufficiency by acquiring skills required for job retention and professional advancement through partnerships with employers.
Provide oversight of case files including documentation of goal planning and submit written programmatic reports.
Attend stakeholder meetings and work with community partners to learn about job skills training and credentialing opportunities for refugees.
Ensure clients are made aware of and offered career development, credentialing, and leadership opportunities.
In consultation with the Manager for Field Operations, ensure close collaboration and coordination with the State Refugee Coordinator’s office and other service providers regarding efforts of the EEP.
Advise management team of any issues arising from employer and employee engagement.
Ensure refugees are being served in a linguistically and culturally appropriate manner and provide education and advocacy when necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, social sciences, or related field or three (3) years of experience providing employment services, workforce development, community engagement, case management, and/or social services.
Supervision experience, especially in an immigrant services or employer engagement setting, preferred.
Knowledge and understanding of refugee resettlement systems, or other relevant cross cultural experiences a plus.
Ability to maintain a pleasant, customer-centered demeanor and professional image under a variety of challenging situations.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically in a multi-cultural setting and with limited-English proficient speakers.
Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and other database programs.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot, and follow projects through with attention to detail.
Ability to work as a team member and independently, with a high level of self-motivation.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including keen listening ability, relationship building, community outreach, and cultivating networks.
Exceptional presentation, training, and facilitation skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Desire to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
Must have reliable transportation, clean driving record, and valid insurance and be able to travel locally as required.
International work or study experience and second language abilities a plus.
Cross-cultural or international experience preferred.
